Funnel Draw / Integrations / X Ads
Funnel Draw + X Ads
The X Ads connection is planned and not built yet. It will read spend (billed charge), impressions, clicks and website conversions per campaign from the X Ads API's analytics and show them on the steps they feed, next to the plan.

How it works
- Real spend on the step Each X campaign you link to a step will show its spend, impressions, clicks and conversions next to what the funnel planned.
- Read-only by design The connection is planned to only read reports through the X Ads API (analytics). Funnel Draw will never create, pause or edit your X ads.
- Website conversions included Conversions tracked with the X Pixel will come in with the campaign, so cost per conversion compares with the plan on the step.
How you'll set it up
Open Ad accounts
In Funnel Draw, open your workspace, then Integrations → Ad accounts. X Ads is listed there as coming; once it's built, the workspace's owner or an admin will click Connect X.
Sign in with X and authorize
X's authorization page will open: sign in with the X account that has access to your ads account in X Ads Manager and authorize Funnel Draw.
Pick the ads accounts
Back in Funnel Draw, tick the ads accounts to bring in. Recent history will come in first, then each account updates every night.
Link campaigns to steps
On the canvas, open the step the campaign feeds (for example the ad step before your landing page) and link one or more campaigns to it. The step will then show the real numbers beside the plan, refreshed every night.
Ideas to try
When a SaaS launch runs on X, watch the cost per sign-up
A developer tool runs X ads for its launch and links them to the launch step. Real numbers show USD 14 per sign-up against USD 9 planned, so it asks its AI for goal_seek on the click-through rate it needs.
When a newsletter buys followers' attention, check the paid step
A paid newsletter links its X campaign to the ad step before its free issue. The step shows clicks on plan but sign-ups low, so the fix goes to the sign-up page.
Questions
Will Funnel Draw be able to change my X ads?
No. The plan is read-only: Funnel Draw will only request campaign performance reports through the X Ads API (analytics). The X Ads API signs every request with the X user's OAuth 1.0a token, so Funnel Draw will only see the ads accounts that user can reach, and will only call the analytics endpoints.
What data will be kept, and for how long?
Only what the step needs: each campaign's name, ID and status, and its daily spend, impressions, clicks and conversions. No ad creatives and no data about the people who saw your ads. Google Ads, the live connection, keeps 13 months of daily numbers; X Ads is planned to work the same way.
What happens when I disconnect X?
Disconnecting will delete its ad accounts, campaigns and numbers from the workspace, unlink them from your steps, and revoke Funnel Draw's access at X. You can also remove the app's access from your X account settings at any time.
Which X role do I need on the ads account?
The X account you sign in with needs a permission on the ads account, given in X Ads Manager (X lists roles such as Account administrator, Ad manager and Campaign analyst). Since Funnel Draw will only read analytics, a role that can see the campaigns' analytics will be enough.
