Funnel Draw / Integrations / Google Ads
Funnel Draw + Google Ads
Connect Google Ads and link a campaign to its funnel step: the step shows real spend, clicks, conversions, cost per click, click-through rate and cost per conversion next to the numbers you planned. Search, Display, Performance Max, Demand Gen and YouTube campaigns run through Google Ads all come in the same way, read-only.

How it works
- Plan and real, side by side Each step shows its forecast next to what Google Ads reports for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with how far each number is from the plan.
- Updates every night The last 90 days come in when you tick an account, then the numbers refresh every night. A Refresh button pulls an account again when you need it sooner.
- Your AI reads the same numbers Connected through MCP, Claude or ChatGPT can call get_actuals to compare plan and real per step, then try fixes with what_if before you change anything.
Set it up
Open Ad accounts
In Funnel Draw, open your workspace, then Integrations → Ad accounts and click Connect Google Ads. Only the workspace's owner and admins can connect an account.
Pick a Google account and allow access
Google opens: choose the Google account that can see your ads and allow access to your Google Ads data. In Google Ads, that account needs access under Admin → Access and security; Read only access is enough. Google uses one permission for reading and changing ads, so read-only is kept on Funnel Draw's side: it only sends report queries.
Tick the accounts to bring in
Back in Funnel Draw, tick each ad account to bring in: its last 90 days are pulled now, then it updates every night. A manager (MCC) account has no campaigns of its own, so tick its client accounts.
Link a campaign to its step
On the canvas, open the step the campaign feeds (for example a Google Search, Display or YouTube ads step), find Real numbers and click Link campaigns. Pick one or more campaigns (up to 50 per step); editors can do this, not only admins.
Read plan vs real
The step shows Real spend, clicks, conversions, cost per click, CTR and cost per conversion beside the plan, for the last 7, 30 or 90 days. A Real chip on the step on the canvas sums spend and conversions at a glance.
Ideas to try
When search clicks cost more than planned, find the leak
A dental clinic planned USD 2.50 per click on its Search step; Google Ads shows USD 3.90 over 30 days. It asks Claude to run analyze_funnel, then what_if with the real cost per click, and sees it needs a 6% booking rate on the landing page to stay profitable.
When a YouTube campaign runs, check it against the plan
A watercolor course links its YouTube video campaign to the YouTube ads step. After a week, Real shows USD 410 spent and 18 conversions against 25 planned, so it tests a shorter video before raising the budget.
When an agency reports to a client, start from real numbers
An agency connects its manager account once and ticks each client's account in that client's workspace. On Monday, weekly_report and the step panels show each client's spend and cost per conversion against the plan.
Questions
Can Funnel Draw change or pause my Google Ads campaigns?
No. Google Ads has a single permission for reading and changing, so Google's screen asks for access to your Google Ads data, but Funnel Draw only runs report queries (campaigns and their daily metrics). It never creates, edits, pauses or removes anything.
Does it work with a manager (MCC) account?
Yes. Sign in with a Google account that reaches the manager account: its client accounts are listed, and you tick the ones to bring in. The manager account itself has no campaigns to link.
What data is kept, and for how long?
For each ticked account: its campaigns (name, ID, status, type) and their daily impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value. Daily numbers older than 13 months are deleted. Nothing about the people who saw your ads is stored.
What happens when I disconnect Google Ads?
Funnel Draw deletes that connection's accounts, campaigns and numbers, the steps linked to them lose their real numbers, and the access is revoked at Google (unless another Funnel Draw workspace still uses the same Google account). You can also remove access at myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party connections.
