Funnel Draw + Mailchimp

Mailchimp has no official MCP server for its marketing app (its official one covers Mailchimp Transactional only), so the honest route is Zapier's MCP, which exposes Mailchimp actions to your AI. Connected next to Funnel Draw, the AI writes the sequence a step plans and creates each email as a draft campaign in Mailchimp.

How it works

Emails written from the plan Number of emails, timing and offer come from the follow-up step in Funnel Draw.
Drafts in your account Zapier's Create Campaign action makes a campaign draft; nothing goes out until you send it.
Only the actions you enable Zapier's MCP exposes just the Mailchimp actions you turn on, so keep Send Campaign off.

Set it up

Connect Funnel Draw to your AI
In Funnel Draw, open Workspace → Integrations → Claude and ChatGPT and copy https://app.funneldraw.com/mcp. In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector, paste it and connect; in ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode, then Create app with the address and OAuth. Sign in to Funnel Draw and pick the workspace the AI works in.
Connect Zapier's MCP to the same AI
In Claude, ask Claude to connect Zapier MCP, click Connect on the Zapier card, Copy prompt → Continue → Allow, then paste the prompt to run Zapier's onboarding. Connect your Mailchimp account in Zapier and enable Mailchimp's Create Campaign (and Add/Update Subscriber if needed).
Ask for the sequence
For example: "Read the Nurture emails step in my Watercolor course funnel, write its 5 emails, and create each as a Mailchimp draft campaign to my 'Free guide' audience. Don't send."
Review in Mailchimp
Open Campaigns, check each draft; to run them as an automated sequence, build a Customer Journey in Mailchimp and use the drafts' content.
Note the result on the step
Ask the AI to add the Mailchimp link and what it made (draft names and send dates) to the step's notes with update_funnel, or paste it on the step yourself in the canvas. The next time the AI reads the funnel with get_funnel, it sees what is already done.

Questions

Does Funnel Draw connect to Mailchimp directly?

No. Funnel Draw has no direct Mailchimp integration. Your AI holds two connections, Funnel Draw's MCP and Mailchimp's own, reads the step from one and works in the other. Funnel Draw never sees your Mailchimp login.

Is there an official Mailchimp MCP?

Only for Mailchimp Transactional (formerly Mandrill), as of this writing. For campaigns and audiences, use Zapier's MCP or a community server with your Mailchimp API key.

Does Zapier charge for this?

Zapier's docs say each successful tool call uses two tasks from your Zapier plan.
